10 Tips to Improve Your Pro Clubs Team

Practical strategies to win more, climb divisions, and dominate in EA FC 26 Pro Clubs.

1. Play With a Consistent Squad

This is the single biggest factor in climbing divisions. A group of average players who know each other's tendencies will consistently beat a team of better individual players who've never played together.

When you play with the same people regularly, you learn their runs, their passing habits, when they'll press and when they'll drop back. This unspoken understanding is worth more than any amount of individual skill. If you're serious about improving, find 3-5 regulars and stick with them.

2. Check Your Stats Regularly

You can't improve what you don't measure. Use Pro Clubs Tracker to check your club and individual player stats after each session. Look at per-game averages, not just totals.

If your goals conceded per game is above 1.5, your defence needs work. If your pass accuracy is below 75%, you're giving the ball away too much. If one player has significantly fewer goals than games played as a forward, they might need to change position. Data doesn't lie — use it.

3. Don't All Rush Forward

The number one mistake in Pro Clubs, at every level, is everyone chasing the ball and pushing forward. When your team has possession, at least one midfielder and your defenders need to hold position. When you lose the ball, transition defence is everything.

Counter-attacks are how most goals are conceded in Pro Clubs. If your entire team is in the opponent's half and they break, it's an easy goal. Discipline and positioning win more games than individual skill runs.

4. Use a Goalkeeper (or Control the AI One)

Having a human goalkeeper is a significant advantage in Pro Clubs. AI goalkeepers are predictable — experienced opponents know how to exploit their positioning. A human keeper who can read the game and make smart saves will single-handedly win you games.

If nobody wants to play in goal (understandable), at least learn how the AI keeper behaves so your defenders can compensate. Don't leave the AI exposed in 1v1 situations — it will lose more often than not.

5. Pass More Than You Dribble

It's tempting to try skill moves and beat defenders on your own, but passing is far more effective in Pro Clubs. A quick one-two or a simple through ball creates more chances than trying to dribble past three players.

Check your team's pass accuracy on Pro Clubs Tracker. Top clubs typically maintain 80%+ pass accuracy. If your team is below 70%, focus on making simpler, safer passes. Keep possession, build up play, and the chances will come.

6. Communicate Constantly

Voice chat isn't just for banter (though that's important too). Calling for passes, warning about runners, organising defensive shape, and calling offsides makes a massive difference.

Key calls that help: "Man on" when a teammate is about to be pressured, "Switch it" when the ball should go to the other side, "Drop back" when the team is too far forward, and "Hold the line" to prevent your defence from dropping too deep.

7. Master Set Pieces

Corners, free kicks, and penalties are free goal-scoring opportunities that most Pro Clubs teams waste. Develop set-piece routines with your squad. Even something as simple as "near post corner, the tall CB attacks it" can become a reliable source of goals.

Defensively, make sure everyone knows their marking assignments on corners. One player should always be on the near post, one on the far post, and the rest should be man-marking. Conceding sloppy set-piece goals is avoidable with basic organisation.

8. Build Your Virtual Pro Correctly

Your Virtual Pro's build, height, weight, and PlayStyles matter more than most people realise. A 6'4" striker should play differently to a 5'8" one. Make sure your build matches your playstyle and position.

Don't neglect PlayStyles — they give genuine gameplay advantages. Quick Step for wingers, Relentless for midfielders, and Long Throw for full-backs can all make a real difference. Experiment and find what works for your position and playstyle.

9. Learn From Your Losses

After a tough loss, it's easy to blame the game, the AI, or your teammates. But the best teams review what went wrong and adjust. Were you conceding the same type of goal? Were you creating chances but not finishing them? Was your midfield getting overrun?

Use Pro Clubs Tracker's match history to review your recent results. If you notice patterns in your losses (high goals conceded, low possession, poor pass accuracy), those patterns tell you exactly what to work on.

10. Compare Yourself to Better Clubs

Use the Club Head to Head tool to compare your club's stats against teams ranked above you. What's their win rate? Goals per game? Goals conceded per game? This gives you concrete benchmarks to aim for.

If a Division 1 club concedes 0.8 goals per game and you're conceding 1.6, that tells you defence is the area to focus on — not attack. Data-driven improvement is faster than guessing. Use it.
